Atelya Studio Ltd ("Atelya", "we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered in England and Wales, registered office 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF, and can be contacted at hello@atelyastudio.com.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights. It applies whether you're browsing from the UK, Poland, or elsewhere. For cookies specifically, see our Cookies Policy.

  1. What data we collect

-Contact details (name, email, phone) — when you create an account, place an order, or sign up to our newsletter

  • Delivery and billing addresses — when you place an order
  • Order information (items purchased, order value, order history) — when you place an order
  • Payment information — collected and stored by Stripe, our payment provider, at checkout; Atelya never sees or stores your full card details
  • Account information (login details, saved addresses, favourites) — when you create an account
  • Communications — anything you send us, e.g. customer service enquiries
  • Technical and usage data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) — automatically, when you use the site (see our Cookies Policy)
  1. Why we use your data
  • To process your order — payment, delivery with the Brand Partner, order confirmations — necessary to fulfil our contract with you
  • For customer service — queries, returns, cancellations, complaints — necessary to fulfil our contract with you
  • For fraud prevention and payment security — sharing data with Stripe to process and verify payments — necessary to fulfil our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in preventing fraud
  • For your account — login, order history, favourites — necessary to fulfil our contract with you
  • For marketing emails — news on drops, brands, offers — only with your consent, which you can withdraw any time
  • To improve the site — usage patterns, fixing issues — our legitimate interest, balanced against your privacy; non-essential analytics only run with cookie consent
  • For legal and tax obligations — transaction records, VAT, accounting — necessary to comply with the law
  1. Who we share your data with
  • Brand Partners — receive your name, delivery address, and order details to fulfil your order. Never your payment details.
  • Stripe — receives payment and billing details to process your transaction securely.
  • Delivery and courier partners — receive your name and delivery address to deliver your order.
  • Google Workspace — our email and business systems provider.
  • Professional advisers — accountant or lawyers, where necessary.
  • Regulators or authorities — where legally required, e.g. HMRC or a Polish tax authority for VAT.

We never sell your personal data.

  1. International transfers

Some data may move between the UK and the EU (including Poland), since Atelya works with brands across Europe. The UK and EU each recognise the other as offering an equivalent standard of data protection, so this doesn't require extra safeguards. Where we use a provider outside the UK/EU (e.g. Stripe, for some US-based processing), we rely on their standard contractual clauses.

  1. How long we keep your data
  • Order and transaction records: 6 years, for UK/EU tax and accounting obligations
  • Account data: while your account is active, or until you ask us to delete it
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe
  • Customer service correspondence: up to 2 years after the matter is resolved
  1. Your rights

Wherever you're based, you can ask to: access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict how we use it, object to processing (including marketing), receive it in a portable format, or withdraw consent at any time. Contact hello@atelyastudio.com — we'll respond within one month.

If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK ICO (ico.org.uk) or, for Poland, the UODO (uodo.gov.pl).

Atelya is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from children.
